how does it affect the people who buy it or are considering renting it???

My friend is letting her house go to foreclosure & will need to rent an apartment. She is currently only 30 days delinquent. How do apartment management companies view foreclosures? Should she apply for an apartment now, knowing that she will not move in for a couple of months?

*** Please note that I am not looking for advice on how to keep the home or to get her out of the foreclosure. All options have been considered. Please give advice on how to proceed to obtaining her next housing. Thanks!

Okay here’s my situation I am currently separated. When I left my home we had a buyer for the house and were set to go to settlement in 2 weeks. I moved into an apartment. The deal fell through. I found another buyer and that deal is falling through as well. My options are to go back to the house, giving up my apartment, or to let the house go to foreclosure. If I let the house go to foreclosure and subsequently file bankruptcy, how long will I have to wait typically to buy a house?

My credit isnt good. I have a house foreclosure on my credit also. That is all from when i lived in Michingan and my job closed and everything went down hill. I am in texas now, starting over. I have a full time job now for 5 months. I’m going to apply for an apartment and wonder if they may not rent to me because of that.

A relative is filing bankruptcy and is letting the house go to foreclosure in Indiana. He is moving to an apartment. Is he required to leave on any utilities in the house until its sold at sheriff’s sale? It’d be nice if he didn’t have to pay even the basic minimum utilities if he doesn’t have to. Thanks!
