A car bought in 02 I think- we had to let it go back. We want to purchase a home… but need to take care of this. What can we do?
Status: Account charged off/Repossession. $5,303 written off. $2,146 past due as of Jul 2004. This account is scheduled to continue on record until Jan 2011.

How do you challenge it?
Settle?
I can’t seem to contact the company to even talk to them! Give them his SSN & they can’t find anything on record.
If we made any sort of payment on the car doesn’t it make the 7yrs start over again?
Any help provided would be greatly appreciated!
Passive Income
I want to rent an apartment with my friend, who has excellent credit. MY credit however, is horrible. I checked my credit report and score, and it says my score is really low, with 6 hard hits, but my revolving credit to debit ratio is 100%.
ive never had a foreclosure.
what are the options we have as far as renting an apartment goes? Will i be able to sign the lease?
thanks
Repossession
I am recently divorced and need to get my own apartment and find a decent job. My ex left me with all the credit card bills, so therefore, my credit is destroyed. Am I not going to be able to rent an apartment if my credit is horrible? I am also trying to get a new job, and I signed a paper saying they could run a credit check on me. Will by bad credit hinder me from getting a job, and if so, what do I do now? Thanks for the answers….
Rent Back
Credit scores are horrible. Really horrible. Eviction histories, repossession of the vehicle is on the credit report. no car. No personal phone/cell phone. No home. And is that easy to get the minority small business loan to open the group home for the youth? What is the qualification for the minority small business loan? I really want to know in detail.
Repossession
I know a repossession has a negative affect on your credit score, but can you request a lesser penalty on your credit report from the credit union? I just learned about charge-offs, is that better or worse on your credit score than a repossession? My boyfriend got a repossession recently and we are going to work to build up his credit in the next couple years so we can get married and hopefully purchase a house or condo. What would be the best way to raise his score in the next 18-24 months. I know the repossession will probably be on his credit for at least 5 years but is there anything we can do to better our chances to get qualified for home loan?
