for UK real estate agents: how much do you earn in terms of sales commission?
I work for a Spanish developing company with several apartments on sale in Tenerife, and we are considering the English real estate market.
So, this is a question for estate agents in UK: how much the apartment/house.. owner must pay to the estate agency/agent in terms of sales commission?
Please answer in terms of % of the sales price.
By the way, another question, for any one in general: I’d be very grateful to have a list of advertising webs in the UK which are completely free when placing an ad.

If you scan a number of estate agency websites you can easily find the answer. It is usually between 1% and 3%.

Spanish property prices have collapsed ..
… and as far as most Brit’s are concerned, the Spanish market is full of scam artists, crooks and illegal builds with developers going bust left right & center (and taking deposits with them) ..
You couldn’t give away a Spanish holiday home to a Brit these days ..

I agree with SteveB, not only the spanish property but Portuguese also. The “brit abroad” has been targeted by rogues in both these countries, unfortunately most of them are Brits themselves.
